Once again, its that time of the year...
Where we go back to our respective families...
Mingle around, although some of us wouldnt recognize half the people there...
Have meals together... And collect financial aid in the form of red packets....
Great timing, since the economy's doing so bad.. :P

For some, its a time to meet everyone in the family.. Some for the first time....
Others, well... its time to sit, and catch up with relatives.. And get to know some of them..
For me....
Its the perfect time to increase the balance in my bank account.. :D

Nevertheless, it is indeed a joyful day... And more of it to come..

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone out there..
May the year of the ox bring much prosperity....
Especially with the current global economy crisis...

Had a little problem with my external drive last nite..
For some reason the disk got corrupted... Haihz..
And, no, i dun have porn in it... Im not tat dumb...

I had backup of my pictures and music in it...
And all my videos including movies... Transferred it all into the external drive...
To save space on my laptop's amazing 50gb hard drive...

So, i thought there must be some way to recover the lost data wan rite?
They're all still in the hard drive...
Just that I can't open it...

So i thought of bringing it over to summit,
Since its like the IT hub of Subang..
There's bound to be someone who's able to handle it rite?
But then I found the original box n receipt n i noticed its still under warranty...
So, thinking I cud save a few bucks,
I brought it back to Pyramid... Place where I bought it...

Brought it there, showed it to the guy behind the counter...
Told him wats the problem..
Asked if the data can be recovered...
He passed it over to another guy....

The guy started opening up the casing, took the driver out..
Plug it in to some adapter...
Ran some tests on the pc...
I thought he was trying to like get the files out or something.. RITE???
So i was happily chit chatting with Martin, who came with me.. (went to JPN to get our ICs done earlier)

After about 10 minutes, he came back, put it into the casing...

"Oh, its a virus problem... Nvm, now ok edi.. Format edi...."

U know how dying ppl see their life flash through their eyes right before they die?
At that moment, I saw everything that was inside the hard drive... flash right before my eyes...
My movies, music, pictures...
TV Series..
Everything...
All 100GB of it...

Im never going back to tat shop ever again....

I didnt plan to check my results until Course Advising Day...
All I know is I passed everything.. That was more than enough for me at one point..
Till a few days back when I got back from Genting,
Came back and found out that the results are up on the student portal...
I guess I didnt have a choice then...
So here it is..

Communication Theory and Study Skills B+

Microeconomics A
Principles of Marketing B+
Business Statistics A
Operational Management B

Managed to maintain my CGPA at a 3.73...

Really thank God, coz I was expecting like at least a C in Operational Management and I wasnt tat confident in Marketing as well...

Was kinda happy to get a B in OM, since its like the most famous subject in my faculty for failing.. Especially under Mr. Omid, the only lecturer in uni that's not afraid to fail his whole class if he has to...
Half the class failed the subject during my sem... Thank God i made it through...

Honestly,
my results were like better than expected...
Yet, I cant help but feel something's missing...
No, not the grades.. The grades are fine...
Something else...
Still looking for an answer...

New Year's Eve...
Was a mess really.. In the planning department...
Original plan was to go to the Curve to countdown over there..
Then somehow things got difficult...
People MIA... or is it FFK? i dun even know myself...

Even till 3 something on new years eve, we still havent decide wat we're gonna do..
Things were so screwed up...
In the end, got a call from Christine.. was told to get ready, Vee's picking us up..
So i got ready, they came, pick me up, and we were at pyramid..
Called the other guys.. And ta-dah..
New years eve at pyramid...

We reached there.. Decided to watch a movie..
And guess wat movie it was..

U guys shouldnt miss it...
One of the best movie to watch all year...
SERIOUSLY!!!!

So good till Vee fell asleep half way through, woke up later to play chess on his phone..
Yup.. it was TAT GOOD!!!

So anyways,
after the movie, Vee had to split..
The rest of us went on to KimGary for dinner...

After dinner, we hit Republic...
Nice place really.. Something like Laundry, only bigger...
Only thing I dun really get, is tat they dun serve house pouring drinks..
Drinks like JD and JW are all sold in bottles.. ONLY..
How sad..

Anyways, we had fun... Loads of fun..
I had 2 cups of whiskey, a bottle of heineken (well, half actually) and a shot...
Yup.. KaySim n me tried the Tequila shot..
Not bad.. Not bad at all..
Did the trick right away.. KaySim was glowing!!! Red as a cherry!!! hahahaha..
Bad news was they charged 20 bucks per shot... So we onli had 1 each... Yea... Sad..

First things's first....

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

Yea i know... Its a few days late... But I still needed to do it no matter wat rite?

At the moment I'm like a few events behind to post up about..

And by the look of it Im gonna juz be posting up pics instead of really blogging about them...

Oh well.. A little update...

So many people are leaving by the end of the week...

Hema back to Indo, Chris back to Kedah, Dawn and LayBoon studying overseas, KaySim resuming classes, Noel back to Singapore..

Gosh.. The list juz goes on...

So, I guess the next few weeks of my holidays is gonna be a little dull...

Not really looking forward to it actually... Since I've been having so much of fun..

Spending most of my time outside...

Like, literally every single day...

Gotta find something to fill me time for the last few weeks...

Before uni starts again...

Really duno if I wud wan to go back by the time its all over...
