Sunday we celebrated po po's birthday in kl...
Jalan Imbi to be precise... There was some vegetarian restaurant that one of my mom's kid's parents recommended...
Err... I meant kid tat my mom babysits...
Almost sent the wrong msg there.. XD
The place is called Pure Mind...
At first, it sounded like some spa to me..
Wait, even in the picture above, it does look like some spa or something.. XD
There's the menu...
Honestly, i was never really a fan of vegetarian food..
Or rather, i havent really sat down for a complete vegetarian meal..
Anyways,
Things started off with the usual 5 dish platter...
Pic up there is wats left of it actually...
Forgot to take a pic in the beginning..
But the best dish of the 5, i wud say is the cha siew... or wtv u call them...
Vegetarian cha siew.. i think...
Its made out of flour.. But i tell u...
It tasted EXACTLY like the real thing!!!
These chefs are real geniuses!!!
Second dish was a bowl of herbal soup...
Had no idea wat was in the soup..
Everything looked akar-ish... N expensive..
So, i just drank the whole thing without questioning..
Omigosh!!!
The 3rd dish was like the best of all!!!
Its called "Fried Vegetarian Steak With Sweet Black Soy Sauce"
Again, made out of flour...
But, o boy.....
The texture...
The sweetness...
The garing-ness... (*sry)
Its juz amazing how its made...
It made me sooooooooooooooo lost for words..
Seriously, the entire thing may look simple..
But its ever soooooooooooo good...
Trust me..
Anyways, after the 3rd dish, i was edi lazy to take more pictures...
I was too busy eating.. haha..
But, after tat, the following dishes were not tat interesting..
Braise tofu, Fried lotus root, pumpkin & yam, mixed veggie and fried rice...
Sounds boring right?
Started off with a bang...
Then everything was downhill from there...
Interesting arrangement..
And now, to the main event...
A simple cake bought by Kiu Niong...
And Ah Q...

Imagine what they've been through all these years...
And yet, they're still here today.. together...
Things like these just amazes me sometimes..

Yestetrday we had a farewell gathering for Rooben..
Who will be flying to the States... San Francisco actually...
To study Engineering.. (lucky sucker...)
So, yeah..
It was like a group of 8..

Highlights of the night...
Hmm...
We dedicated a song to Rooben...
There was a live unplugged performer on stage...
So we requested for Mariah Carey's Bye Bye..
Instead, they played us Air Supply's Goodbye..
Well, at least the word Goodbye is there..
Juz ignore the entire meaning behind the song.. :P
Oh yah!!!
Christine actually finished her food!!!!
Its really a miracle!!!
Although it took her all the way till the moment we stood up, getting ready to leave...
Well, the fact is tat she actually did..
We're so proud of u Christine!!! XD
Hema & I ordered a cup of xtra cold Carlsberg...
Tasted okay..
Its waaaaaaaaayyy better xtra cold..
Only then we knew tat Christine & KarMern would never allow us to drink so much again... :P
I look weird...

Think i knew this sucker for like... more than 10 years..
How time flies eh...
